JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for being the liaison between the IT Department and the Business Process owners for the maintenance and enhancement of the Company’s financial systems application. Responsibilities include working with the Business Process Owners to document business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements as they relate to the use of the financial system and other IT systems. This position will be the subject matter expert on the financial system application and will gather requirements from Business Process Owners, prepare and present the business cases for system enhancements and work with the IT Department to implement solutions on behalf of the Business Process Owners. This position will also be responsible for assisting the IT Help Desk with resolving system issues, working with the Accounting Department to maintain the security and approval workflow architecture, and working with Training personnel to train users and maintain financial system user manuals and training videos.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares process documentation
  • Gathers requirements from Business Process Owners
  • Prepares and presents cost/benefit analysis for system solutions
  • Provides IT Help Desk assistance with resolving system issues
  • Maintains financial system security and approval workflow architecture
  • Performs audits of system user setup
  • Trains associates
  • Maintains System User Manuals
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or IT required; MBA / CPA preferred but not required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience required
  • Financial systems experience and certification preferred (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009)
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Less than 10%
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
